Shirley Johnson was born and raised in Barbour County a graduated from Rebecca Comer School. She furthered her education at Columbus Technical School and Wallace Community College. Ms. Johnson retired from Mead West Daco with over 36 years of service.  Ms. Johnson represents district 1 and has served on the board for 12 years.Ms. Johnson decided to seek a seat on the board to ensure all students in Barbour County had equal access to a high-quality education. She has worked hard to represent the needs of all stakeholders.
