On Saturday, July 26, 2025, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated – Beta Upsilon Zeta Chapter of Dothan, Alabama – proudly hosted a Back-to-School Drive at the Barbour County Transportation Department in Clayton, Alabama, benefiting students throughout the Barbour County community. Through the generosity of chapter members and auxiliaries, the chapter successfully donated 125 book bags filled with school supplies. Members of Beta Upsilon Zeta personally purchased the book bags, while the dedicated Zeta Amicae Auxiliary graciously contributed the supplies.

This initiative held special significance for the chapter, as several members are Barbour County natives and were eager to give back to the communities that shaped them. Rooted in the founding principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood, the chapter remains committed to ensuring that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed and grow into impactful contributors to society.

The chapter extends heartfelt appreciation to everyone who played a role in making this event a success.

Additionally, Beta Upsilon Zeta Chapter has voted to formally adopt Barbour County High School as part of its Adopt-A-School Initiative. This decision reflects the chapter’s deep ties to the school and its students—many of whom participate in the chapter’s youth auxiliaries: the Archonettes, Amicettes, and Pearlettes, spanning from Pre-K through 12th grade. The chapter is committed to supporting these students’ academic development and personal growth, and looks forward to building a strong partnership with Barbour County High School in the months and years ahead.
