🚨 UPDATE: Barbour County Schools will experience a 2-hour delay on Thursday, April 11, 2024. This includes both school start times and the arrival of employees, along with transportation services. Prioritizing safety above all else for students and staff.

Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. In light of recent events, we want to reassure you that school will resume as scheduled tomorrow. The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority, and we have taken additional security measures to ensure a secure learning environment.
While we understand the concerns that may arise, it is imperative that we continue with our commitment to educating and preparing our students for upcoming testing. The school has implemented heightened security protocols to address any potential risks and maintain a safe campus.
We kindly request your trust and cooperation in allowing us to handle any crisis situations that may arise. Our staff and security personnel are trained to handle various scenarios, and your support in adhering to school policies is crucial. Please be assured that every precaution is being taken to provide a secure environment for your child.
It is important to emphasize that parents should refrain from coming to campus in the event of a crisis, as this could cause a major disruption to the school system. We have procedures in place to address emergencies promptly, and your cooperation is invaluable in maintaining the safety and order of the school community.
Thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate your ongoing support in creating a safe and conducive learning environment for all students.
Best regards,
